Aldershot Army Show 2005

Crowds of people had gathered on this day, and there were plenty of attractions for young and old. Considering that it only cost ÂŁ5.00 for the entrance fee, the show was very good value for money with all the available amusements and facilities.

Here’s the stand run by the Gurkha Museum and another by the Army Benevolent Fund. Charitable institutions are always grateful for events like this to increase their exposure.

Off to one side of the field, parades were conducted and judged.

I did briefly wonder if these soldiers were discussing which of these children could be trusted with their SA80 assault rifles, but decided that perhaps this would be taking the military experience a bit too far. And no, I have no idea what the people in the right hand picture are doing.

There was plenty of food and drink available on this rather overcast day, there was even a small bar for those who needed to partake of something stiffer.
