ACG Interview with New U.S. Commander in Iraq

Armchair General | February 15, 2007  | 0 comments  | Print  | E-mail

President Bush’s recent announcement that he has nominated Lt. Gen David Petraeus to take over from Gen. George Casey as the top U.S. military commander in Iraq prompted us to give readers another opportunity to review our exclusive interview with Gen. Petraeus, previously published in the November 2005 issue of Armchair General magazine. When ACG’s former Editorial Director, Col. ret. John Antal, conducted the interview, Gen. Petraeus was then leading America’s effort to train the Iraqi Defense Force. In his new, upcoming assignment, Gen. Petraeus will be overseeing the operations of the force he helped to train.
