Free Tokens For Armchair General Visitors at Tower Games!Chris Wilkins | June 29, 2005 | 0 comments | Print | E-mail Until the end of July, Tower Games is offering all visitors to the Armchair General website the chance to try out its internet games for FREE. All you have to do is go to Tower Games and register for a free account. Then, proceed to the "Buy Towers" (purchase) page, scroll to the bottom of the window, and where it says "Pin Number" type in "armgen9871". Two free tokens will be placed into your account which you can use on the "pay for play" games. This will allow you to engage in battles such as Antietam, Gettysburg, Shiloh, Bull Run and others. You can play "one-on-one" or in teams (for the larger battles).
There are also various free games to let you learn the rules (you might want to try them before using up your FREE tokens). Tower Games is something of a new experience in wargaming. You can play with people all across the world, there aren’t many rules to know (and many people play without having read them at all - although it’s always better if you do), there are no dice to throw and no rules to argue about. It’s all taken care of for you by the system.
There is even one huge advantage over board games that makes Tower Games thrilling and exciting; genuine Line of Sight rules. If you can’t see them, then you can’t see them. "Is he over that hill? Is he on my flank? Where did he go?" But don’t be fooled. In order to win the battles you have to use correct military strategy and tactics to win the day. So don’t delay! Come along to Tower Games and give it a try. And remember, the FREE PIN expires at the end of July.
